PERMANENT EXHIBITS

The Streets of Old Shelby
Take a leisurely stroll through time and history as you walk along
The Streets of Old Shelby. This permanent exhibit is the culmination of a 15-year project which was completed in 1996. Building fronts and room interiors show many objects and artifacts, giving a cross section of the Shelby County economy and lifestyle circa 1900.

History of the Shelby County Railroad

Gallery features a railroad diorama with running trains. Display cases show a wide-range of signage, tools, and implements -  everything associated with trains!

 Doll House with Miniatures
The Isabella Kessler Doll House is a scale-model of a Victorian-style duplex, circa 1880.
Built to a scale of 1 inch = 1 foot, this unique duplex  (two houses built side-by-side) is fascinating with its accuracy and attention to the tiniest details!
