Grover Museum is closed to visitors the month of January 2009 as we are in the process of updating the lobby and several galleries. Thank you for visiting in 2008! It was a great year with a record number of visitors coming in to view view exhibits, and to participate in a variety of events and educational classes. Please watch our signs announcing when we have re-opened. As always, we appreciate your patronage, and look forward to seeing you often this year.

VOLUNTEERS

Our volunteers are valuable assets of Grover Museum.

A sampling of their many tasks includes: greeting guests, leading tours, serving refreshments, setting up exhibits, arranging rooms for events, serving gift shop customers, kitchen duty, accession of artifacts, hosting cabin at Shelby County fair grounds. 

 

 

MEMBERS

Shelby County Historical Society has 265 members helping preserve

Shelby county history. Members enjoy a variety of events and receive a membership discount for many of those events.

 

 

MEETING  ROOM

Grover Museum has a large meeting room with many amenities for family and community events - very nice kitchen facilities.

QUILT GUILD

Sponsored by Shelby County Historical Society, the Bear Paw

Quilters Guild meets the fourth Wednesday of the month.

 

If you are a quilter, want to be a quilter, or are just interested in

quilting, you are invited to join the guild.

The Fiber Arts Friends is an additional meeting option for Quilters Guild members who cannot attend the daytime meeting. 

If you are interested in this informal group, you are invited to visit and join. Meetings are the second (2nd) and fourth (4th)
Tuesday
of each month. The meeting time is from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.
